Je Suis Emilee 🌟

How did you get into modelling?

The owner of a really big modelling agency somehow found me on Instagram and asked me to come in. Although she didn't end up signing me, it gave me the confidence to contact other agencies. I DM'd a few photographers on Instagram and started building a portfolio for myself and instantly fell in love with it.

What’s the best and the worst about the modelling industry?

The best thing: Being able to help bringing other people’s creative visions to life, while getting to hang out with some rad like-minded people who just want to create cool content.
The worst thing: Some people take it so seriously, and there's a lot of pressure to look/act a certain way and to getting booked for big jobs while looking good in every single photo. It's also hard to go to castings every day and not get booked, it's a lot of rejection and waiting.

Which decade inspires you?

70’s - nothing's better than some flared jeans and a boogie.

What do you love about photography?

The ability to capture moments and people’s sparks, as well as flaws. I love digital photography but nothing beats film. Whenever I do digital shoots it's about constantly taking the same photo to try and get it perfect. With film, it is just about capturing whatever's happening and once it's taken there's nothing you can do.

Wine or beer?

Vodka. ;)

Is there a song you can't stop listening to?

Emily by Catfish and the Bottlemen (vain much?)

What’s your guilty pleasure?

It might sound weird but: Changing my Instagram bio... I'm too indecisive! I change it once every 1-2 weeks because I can't help myself, and I think that it in a way it destroys my online image by constantly changing it… but oh well!

Are you in love currently?

Currently only in love with the endless possibilities for the future, not a person. :)
